Why I Love Gordon Lightfoot?

Often times, when I sit for interviews, or meet fans after a Show, I am asked the question: WHY GORDON LIGHTFOOT? The answer is simple. I love everything about Godon Lightfoot's music: his melodies, his lyrics, the stories he tells. When I graduated from High School (1974), Gordon Lightfoot's SUNDOWN was the number one album, and the number one song! A few years later, Gordie's WRECK OF THE EDMUND FITZGERALD became a hit too.

Other Singer-Songwriters including: Jimmy Buffett, Jim Croce, and Bob Dylan were big Lightfoot fans. Take a listen to Jimmy Buffett on his BURRIED TREASURE album. Buffett is quite outspoken about how much Lightfoot influenced his writing. Check out my VLOG Episode 2 to see me talking about this. Also, I would love to hear why you love Gordon Lightfoot's music too.

Stay well frineds! ~ Eric
